Full product title: BLS new product, first to adopt "all-ceramic" craftsmanship, Omega's latest Speedmaster series Dark Side of the Moon watch. Ceramic is an inorganic non-metallic material formed by high-temperature firing. This material can be used to manufacture high-density watch components with special mechanical properties. Ceramic is one of the most favored materials by consumers when choosing watches, thanks to its striking and diverse colors and special properties. Ceramic weighs two times less than fine steel, is wear-resistant, highly scratch-resistant, highly bio-inert, hypoallergenic and non-magnetic. This watch has a case size of 44.25 mm, is equipped with a blackened movement, and uses laser ablation technology to present the real scene of the lunar surface on the movement bridges, aiming to pay tribute to the outstanding contribution of the Speedmaster watch to the "Apollo 8" mission. Through the skeletonized dial of black anodized aluminum, the near side of the moon (the side visible from Earth) is clearly visible, while the case back shows the "dark side of the moon" (the far side) that only astronauts have seen. The watch is paired with a black micro-perforated rubber strap, with a striking yellow rubber lining in the middle. The entire watch is crafted from black ceramic, the central chronograph seconds hand is finished in yellow lacquer, and the bezel features laser-engraved bright white enamel tachymeter scale. The small seconds hand is made of grade 5 titanium, presented in an ingenious "Saturn 5 launch vehicle" shape. This 3D shape is made by laser turning technology, and different color effects are presented by white paint attachment, laser ablation and laser blackening processes.
