Ceramic is an inorganic non-metallic material formed by high-temperature firing. This material can be used to manufacture high-density watch components with special mechanical properties. Through the skeletonized dial of black anodized aluminum, the near side of the moon (the side visible from Earth) is clearly visible, while the case back shows the "dark side of the moon" (the far side) that only astronauts have seen. The watch is paired with a black micro-porous rubber strap, with a striking yellow rubber lining in the middle. The entire watch is made of black ceramic, the central chronograph seconds hand is finished in bright yellow lacquer, and the bezel features laser-engraved bright white enamel tachymeter scale. The small seconds subdial hand is made of Grade 5 titanium metal, presented in the distinctive shape of the "Saturn 5 launch vehicle". This 3D shape is made by laser turning technology, and different color effects are presented through white paint application, laser ablation and laser blackening processes.
